HOW TO INCREASE YOUR BUSINESS INCOME AND IMPACT WITHOUT FEELING OVERWHELMED

But they feel like they’re in their business ALL THE TIME and wasn’t the whole point of them leaving their high-powered corporate careers was to be able to spend more time doing what they want and spending time with their loved ones? They feel that to increase their income they’re just going to have to spend all their waking hours working in their business which leaves them feeling stressed and overwhelmed.

I know as a business owner you’ve seen that shocking statistic that 50% of small businesses fail within the first 5 years but scarily, the percentage is even higher for female led businesses! I wrote an article for Forbes, part of the reason is because as women, we want to spend quality time with those that are important to us and we know that there is more to life.

Well, I had the same experience. I was fairly successful and wanted to increase my impact and income so I could give back freely and live the lifestyle I wanted but I knew going at my current rate any increase just wouldn’t be sustainable. I was having emotional highs and lows and it felt like I was on an income rollercoaster.

SO, HERE ARE 5 KEY STEPS TO INCREASING YOUR INCOME AND IMPACT WITHOUT FEELING STRESSED OR OVERWHELMED:

STEP 1: SUPERCHARGE YOURSELF

The first thing that you need to look at when wanting to increase your income and impact is yourself. You need to really honour yourself, take time out and trust that you always make the right decisions in your business. I know a lot of ladies who are high achieving action takers that get shit done, but often it's at the expense of their wellbeing, their health or even their happiness. And I get it. You're a high achiever and you're not afraid of hard work but that doesn't mean you have to be burning yourself into the ground working 24/7.

It's time for you to step into being the CEO of your business and run it instead of feeling like your entire life is being run by your business.

Creating firm boundaries in your business is very important. We all need time to switch off and ground ourselves.

• What boundaries do you need to create with clients?

• What boundaries do you need to create with social media?

• What boundaries do you need to create with emails?
  
  

Waking up and immediately switching on your phone, gets you into a reactive state. Rather, take some time in the morning to truly get into alignment and plan your day the way you want. This will have you making decisions from a proactive space instead.

I love this journal prompt in the morning “If I was fully trusting, honouring and in flow what are the business activities I would do today?”

To increase your income and impact in a way that feels exciting, it’s important to show up fully expressed. I so often see women dulling down, dimming their light and thinking that we actually can’t share our full message. You need to show up fully and be your authentic self. Your audience deserves this and so do you.

When you start bringing a little bit more play and joy and pleasure into your business, what you'll see is an incredible shift in not only your energy, but who you start attracting.

STEP 2: YOUR UNIQUE MESSAGE + MISSION

Your messaging is so essential when it comes to attracting clients. To stand out online you need to be speaking directly to your ideal client and creating magnetic messaging that converts.  Knowing how to speak to your ideal client and positioning yourself as the go to expert (even without loads of social proof) is a key ingredient for success.

STEP 3: SCALABLE + SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS MODEL

Your program needs to be uniquely designed for you. Your skills, knowledge and unique gifts are an essential part of growing + scaling your business. Having a high ticket (and high touch) group program that brings amazing transformations has been key to increasing our income and impact. STEP 4: ORGANIC SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY

Having a clear organic Social Media Marketing strategy is key to increasing your audience and potential client base. Content that is relevant to your ideal client and consistent brings success. STEP 5: TEAM

Building your dream team is important to get you out of hustle mode and create more freedom and joy in your business. Often other people can do parts of your business better than you can! It doesn’t have to cost a fortune to have really great people in place. I have always found when I recruit the right people, my income increases.

At the beginning, you may need to do things you don’t necessarily love but having a clear path in place to effectively outsource allows you to operate in your zone of genius.

To get you started:

•  What activities are you doing on a daily basis? (do an hourly audit)

• What activities do you HAVE to do?

• What activities would you most want to outsource now?

Increasing your income and impact in a sustainable way is important to the success of your business. If you’re not setting up your business for long term success, feeling overwhelmed and being in hustle mode often happens.
